"That moment showed me music isn't just something we enjoy — it's something that connects and uplifts."
I've always been curious about how music affects people. I've been singing since I was a little kid, and I fell in love with how it could shift the way I felt.
Two summers ago, while performing at an autism school in India, I saw that impact in a new way. Students who were initially quiet began singing, smiling, and moving with the music — nothing was planned, it just happened.
That moment showed me music isn't just something we enjoy, it's something that connects and uplifts. That's what led me to start Med.olies.
Med.olies is a nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing the power of music into communities through performances at care facilities and preschools, as well as mentorship programs in schools and care centers, with the goal of enhancing well-being through music-based therapeutic experiences.
Med.olies aims to change lives by harnessing the therapeutic power of music to foster more productive lifestyles, bring individuals together, and promote the well-being of people through music.
Med.olies is entirely student-led — founded and run by young people who believe in the power of music to create real, lasting change in their communities.
Amidst the current global mental health crisis, it is important to find accessible and remedial solutions. Isolated populations — such as the elderly and youth — are often denied consistent opportunities for connection, expression, and emotional support. We aim to close this gap by bringing music into these spaces in a way that creates real moments of connection.
From India to the United States, Med.olies has built a network of passionate volunteers and reached tens of thousands of lives through the power of live music and mentorship.
We've been featured in local and national media for our work bringing music to communities across the US and India.
Whether you donate, volunteer, or simply spread the word — every action moves our mission forward.
